Fraud Investigation

 

Deliberate destruction of an asset by fire or other means for the purpose of insurance fraud may be the result of an act of desperation - but it is also an illegal act.  In these instances, we are called upon to independently determine if the asset had been intentionally set on fire.

 

Vehicle Fraud Investigation
In particular, fraudulent destruction of vehicles is becoming an ever-greater aspect of the fire investigation industry.  Sometimes the most unlikely of fire scenes are found to be intentionally caused.  That is why every vehicle fire investigation we conduct also examines the evidence for potential fraudulent activity. 

 

Some of the signs we consider for all our vehicle investigations:

 

  • Trace evidence of fire accelerant.
  • Signs of pre-emptive substitution of parts.
  • Evidence of engine or component failure unassociated with the cause of fire.

 

With a rapid response and thorough forensic examination, we will allow you to either resolve a genuine insurance claim or have the facts by which to reject a fraudulent claim.
