How should we contact you if we have a fire that requires investigating?

 

In the first instance, it is best to telephone 0208 399 2313, though we are frequently instructed both by fax and, increasingly, email.

If you email, please ensure that you request a confirmation that it has been received. 

 

 

Do you investigate any types of vehicle fires?

 

If it catches fire, we will investigate - period!  Our investigators are engineers who are also enthusiasts. We like a challenge!

 

 

Can you work for private individuals as well as insurance companies?

 

Yes, we work with all different clients from private individuals through to multi-national organisations.

 

 

How quickly can you respond to a fire?

 

Normally within 24hrs. Often immediately, when required.

 

 

How long will it take you to complete an investigation?

 

As a guide, we will generally report within one week.  Though we do not subscribe to the ‘report within 3 days no matter what’ school of investigation. We would prefer to take an extra day or two to conduct further research where desirable. That way, you get a full report rather than one that is prefixed with so many caveats that it is not worth reading, or raises more questions than answers in its conclusion.  Also, we often see other ‘forensic’ reports that recommend further enquiries that we include as standard, just for the sake of a little extra time. 

 

 

Will you investigate fires outside of the UK?

 

We can go anywhere in the world - and frequently do.

 

 

Do you offer fire investigation training?

 

Yes, we can train engineers and claims handlers in simple ‘what to look for’ procedures, right up to full courses in vehicle fire investigation techniques.
